Who I Am
Hi Everyone. Welcome to my website.
I am the face and person behind the business.
My full name is Marie Claire Bourgeois and my initials MCB is where my business name, MCBeauty, came from. I have a real passion for making a positive difference to people, whether for 5 seconds, 5 minutes, 5 hours, 5 days or 5 months. There are so many challenges facing us in our immediate circles and in the greater world, that I truly care about creating time and space for each person who comes to see me, to leave feeling 'better' than when they walked in.
My background started in sports science and went to Leeds University, studying Sport, Health, Exercise and Nutrition, where I achieved a First Class Honours Degree. After a few years of working in fitness and not really finding where I wanted to be, my family suggested that they could see me being a beautician, especially as I already had the the fundamental understanding of the human body.
In 2013-2015 I spent two years training to be a Beauty and Massage Therapist. Since qualifying I have gained a wealth of additional and advanced qualifications, alongside brand training, including; OPI, CND Shellac, Elemis, Decleor, Aromatherapy Associates and Babor, to name a few,
Working as a Therapist has taken me on a journey, from working at Spa's, such as; the NEC, Lea Marston, Bannatyne's in Solihull (Birmingham) and Perth (Scotland), moving from Therapist to Spa Manager. Continuing on to work at the 5* Crieff Hydro Hotel (Crieff, Scotland), returning back to Birmingham where I started working more in beauty salons and most recently, The Belfry Spa.
In April 2022, I decided to start my own business . It’s allowed me to provide treatments to the best of my ability without the cloud of pressure class employed positions involve. I get to focue on what i love and care about, My clients. It's felt like where I am meant to be for making a difference, in my own way.
I am truly grateful for each and every client that trusts me to serve them and thankful everyday for supporting my business.

Meet Jan
This is Jan, also known as my beautiful and wonderful Mum!
Since starting my business Jan has been invaluable in helping take payments at the end of treatment, booking future appointments, having the business phone on days I'm unavailable to ensure all you wonderful clients are attended to, and helping do a lot of the behind the scenes admin.
Jan, retired from her role as a Palliative Care Nurse Specialist in 2018 and has the best listening ears and hugs in the West Midlands. She truly loves connecting with people and I'm sure she has far too much fun talking with all you glorious people. :)
